Speak To Your Storm

Are you swayed by your feelings and emotions? Is your spirit being tossed to and fro like ravaging waves? Please know that every storm has a purpose. If you were watching the news and the weather forecast for the week was a 50% chance of rain every day, would you leave your house unprepared? NO, you would make the necessary preparations for the anticipation of a rainy week. You may make sure to have an umbrella or raincoat (as your covering), to keep you from getting wet. This is the same thing that we need to do in the spirit. We need to make sure that before we leave our homes every morning, that we are covered by God.

As children of the Almighty God, we need to always be prepared for a “chance” of rain (trials/tribulations). Situations that occur in our lives should never cause a storm to be in our spirit. We need to be unmovable, unshakable. There are appointed days set aside that we will be tried and tested. Just like the disciples were being tried on that certain day when they were in the boat and the storm began to stir. Jesus knew that their faith would be on trial (Luke 8:22-25) and that fear will overtake them. God knows the situations we encounter, he knows how we will overcome. We just need to make sure that we don’t fall asleep during our storm, that we tarry and pray without ceasing. The enemy is always working to have us operate in our flesh. Therefore, we need to always be working it out in the spirit by speaking boldly to those trials and tribulations, speaking life over them.  For we do not fret when these situations arrive because we walk by faith and not by sight. We are being trained to command the winds and waters to obey us. Why? Because Christ is in us, He is the hope of glory.
